ATTORNEYS
Our attorneys have combined 70+ years experience and have won several multi-million dollar verdicts for clients.
The expression “your word is your bond” has guided Jonathon Warner’s practice for more than 45 years. It reflects a commitment to honoring obligations and is one of the reasons why the pursuit of judgment and fee collections is so personally important. The notion that people can just ignore their promises is fundamentally offensive. It is his pledge to help people recover what is owed to them that has resulted in the collection of tens of millions of dollars in judgments, legal fees, and other debts for his clients.
Jonathon has more than 45 years of experience in trial and appellate litigation focusing on commercial contingent fee matters in both state and federal courts. After graduating from Columbia University School of Law in 1974, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, he started doing appellate work at the Legal Aid Appeals Bureau to free the wrongfully convicted. He left to become an associate at Phillips, Nizer, Benjamin, Krim & Ballon. Despite the invitation to join the partnership, Jonathon’s entrepreneurial genes kicked in and he went out on his own. He has now operated his firm for almost four decades.
Jonathon understands the fundamental importance of analyzing risk and opportunity. He is a lawyer’s lawyer. Lawyers turn to him because he knows when to litigate and when not to and because they know that he enjoys the challenge of going after formidable adversaries. In addition to his tenacity, one of the characteristics his clients refer to often is his dedication to excellent communication. That dedication has resulted in nurturing decades-long relationships.
With a strategic understanding of the collection process and how to utilize Marshals’ and Sheriffs’ offices, Jonathon has doggedly pursued judgment debtors to maximize recovery. In cases that appeared hopeless, he has uncovered millions of dollars in hidden assets. He relishes the opportunity to enforce the promises made to his clients.
Jonathon has a Martindale Peer Review rating of AV Preeminent.
